This program provides essential support to help individuals develop the skills and confidence necessary for employment readiness and successful community integration. As outlined below, you will be required to attend core courses for 6 weeks and participate in 2-4 hours of one-on-one coaching sessions. Additionally, optional computer literacy and creative writing programs are available. You will be requested to spend approximately 28 hours for these courses. The program starts in April 2025 and continues throughout the year. Your class will be scheduled based on the availability of seats in each course.
In-person Group Workshops: 4 hours weekly for 6 weeks
• Building Resilience – Learn strategies to navigate challenges and foster personal and professional growth.
• Employment Readiness – Receive practical guidance on job searching, resume building, and understanding workplace expectations.
One-on-One Coaching Sessions:
• 2-4 hours throughout the program.
Optional Courses:
• Basic Computer Training or computer training with certification (12 hours)
• Creative Writing (6 hours)
To register for this program, you must be:
A resident of Ontario
Unemployed
Legal working age (18+ years old)
Eligible to work in Canada (open work permit holders, not employer-specific permits)
Not currently registered with another Employment Ontario agency
What happens when I complete this program successfully?
By enrolling in this pre-employment program, you will be expected to fully and actively participate in the CORE courses and one-on-one coaching as listed below. The optional courses will be available to you upon request. All courses are free of cost, and we will provide you with complimentary support to enroll in the Integration for Employment Program (IES) at the end of 6 weeks, once you successfully complete the Pre-employment program.
